Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe signed a bill into law Saturday that establishes a framework to use tax dollars to help pay for stadium projects for the Chiefs and Royals.
In Jefferson City, the special legislative session ended in a show of bipartisanship as the House approved three Senate bills intact and sending them to the governor, including his request to come up with a funding plan to keep pro teams the Chiefs and Royals in Missouri.
While the legislation containing storm relief and the stadium funding both passed committee, some senators have already expressed concern over the bills.
The House will consider bills on funding for stadiums, money for tornado relief in St. Louis and a grant for MU's new nuclear reactor.
The Missouri Senate passed a trio of bills June 5, one will provide funding for stadium projects for the Royals and Chiefs.
