UNITY TWP., Pa. — The Pittsburgh Steelers have made a ton of splashy moves this offseason, bringing in the likes of Aaron Rodgers, D.K. Metcalf and Jalen Ramsey to a team that already made the playoffs a year ago.
Following the first week of training camp, we have yet to see Wilson take a snap in practice. Wilson has reportedly been nursing a sore calf and the team is in no rush to get him on the field.
The Steelers are one of a handful of teams (Cowboys, Panthers, etc.) who have to rethink their training camp plans, and they're the first to announce their new intentions for 2020.
"We are disappointed we won't be holding our 2021 Training Camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa," said Steelers spokesperson Burt Lauten in a statement released on Thursday morning. "We were prepared to safely host Training Camp on campus with fans, but unfortunately our plan was not approved due to the NFL's COVID-19 protocols.
The Pittsburgh Steelers made a notable signing ahead of the team's second training camp practice. Pittsburgh signed Chuck Clark, a veteran safety who spent the previous two seasons with the New York Jets after starting his career with the Baltimore Ravens.
