Misiorowski's fellow rookie Logan Henderson was called up from Class AAA Nashville. Outfielder Jackson Chourio was placed on the injured list with a right hamstring strain on Aug. 1, and Sal Frelick left the game Aug. 2 with left knee soreness and is considered day-to-day.
The team made the announcement Sunday ahead of the All-Star right-hander's scheduled start against the Washington Nationals.
