Miguel Cabrera loved watching the Detroit Tigers’ late-summer surge last year, but he chose to stay away from Comerica Park. The youngsters had a good thing going, and he didn’t want to get in the way.

Miguel Cabrera reported Wednesday morning to Detroit Tigers spring training for the first time in 2025. Cabrera, who turns 42 in mid-April, will be active as a coach at the TigerTown complex from Wednesday through Monday.

Cabrera, who serves as a special assistant to president Scott Harris, was back in Lakeland on Wednesday and is expected be here the rest of the week.
