The Blackhawks are at the bottom of the Central Division at 16-31-5, the second-worst mark in the Western Conference. Edmonton is in a much better spot as it holds the lead in the Pacific Division and is looking to complete a sweep on a back-to-back that started with a 3-2 overtime win over the Blues in St. Louis to get to 33-16-4.

Connor McDavid set up Zach Hyman in overtime, and the Edmonton Oilers beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 on Wednesday night. Hyman redirected McDavid’s pass for the power-play goal at 1:36. It was Hyman’s 19th goal and McDavid’s 49th assist of the season.

The Edmonton Oilers had a 3-1 lead over the Chicago Blackhawks and nearly let the game slip away on Wednesday night. Chicago battled back to tie the game with only eight minutes left.
