The First Alert Weather Team says Tuesday and Wednesday are First Alert Weather Days. A rare Winter Storm Warning is in effect for all of southeast Georgia and inland northeast Florida. The warning means impacts from frozen precipitation are likely to impact travel.

A northwest swell will likely produce High Surf Advisory (HSA) waves along exposed north and west facing shores onTuesday night and peak Wednesday. East facing shore surf will remain choppy the next few days as the trades build, and background south swell will keep surf small on south facing shores through the week.

Winter weather will begin overnight from west to east as the low developing along the Texas coast pushes east and forces moisture up over the deep cold. Light icing and snow will begin during the wee hours of the morning.
