Dozens of Houston residents signed up to speak before the city council Tuesday against what they described as HPD’s collaboration with ICE. According to ICE, the agency arrested about 1,300 people in the Houston area in June.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TExas - A National Guard member from Houston was reportedly found guilty of smuggling migrants into the U.S. while in South Texas, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). In a press release, ICE says 27-year-old Mario Sandoval of Houston was "found guilty of conspiring to smuggle illegal aliens."

Maldonado-Zavala was charged with kidnapping and a sexual assault charge is pending, Pasadena police said. ICE on Sunday requested a hold for Maldonado-Zavala, who had no prior arrests, according to Harris County court documents. His immigration status was unclear.
