Cael Sanderson’s top-ranked wrestling team made quick work of No. 2 Iowa last Friday night in State College, winning 30-8 before a sellout crowd. Obviously, PSU remains No. 1 in the updated InterMat team rankings.

The No. 2 Hawkeyes lost their fourth straight dual to No. 1 Penn State, which doesn’t sit well for the program or its supporters. The last time Iowa dropped more than three consecutive duals to the same Big Ten program was from 1963-68 when Michigan won six straight against the Hawkeyes.

STATE COLLEGE | No. 1 Penn State once again asserted its dominion over college wrestling, head-locking No. 2 Iowa 30-8 at the Bryce Jordan Center on Friday in a match that cemented the Nittany Lions atop the sport's hierarchy. Penn State wrestling won eight of 10 bouts, losing one with a missing starter, and dominated some of Iowa's top wrestlers.
