Political news network MSNBC will rebrand to MS NOW as Comcast’s NBCUniversal prepares to spin off several media brands into a new company called Versant, writes Hannah Miller for Bloomberg. Versant Chief Executive Officer Mark Lazarus told employees earlier this week the network will now be called My Source News,

In addition to MS NOW, USA Network and Golf Channel will merge into a new USA Sports brand and CNBC will change its logo but retain its name

The Versant split means that journalists and executives that have previously worked for both networks now have to choose one.
