This year's competition started with 23 British players competing in the men's and women's singles, the most in nearly 20 years.

Cameron Norrie became the only British player to enter the single's quarterfinal at Wimbledon after winning a gruelling five-setter 3-6 6-7 (7) 7-6 (9) 7-6 (7) 3-6 against Chile's Nicolas Jarry.

The home crowd at Wimbledon had their hopes pinned on several of their UK players when the event had started. As we stand one day away from the quarterfinals, only one Brit has been able to survive the storm of the expectations.
