Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet continues to pass all health checkpoints in his quest to return from the injured list. The latest was a two-inning bullpen session on Wednesday at Kauffman Stadium, marking the third time he’s thrown off the mound in the last week.

A crochet group has donated dozens of beanie hats to a cancer unit to help people receiving chemotherapy treatment. Meadowbank Crochet delivered 40 of the hats to the Chilworth Day Unit at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, in Guildford, for people who had received cold cap treatment or lost their hair during treatment.

Crochet last pitched for Boston on April 25.
