K-Pop Demon Hunters has officially become Netflix’s biggest movie ever. The animated action musical from Sony Pictures Animation has reached 236 million views, according to Netflix, making it the number one film on the platform’s English-language movie list.

The axe falls despite the show's strong performance, including a #1 debut and five weeks in the streamer's English language top 10

According to Netflix, more than 80% of global subscribers have watched Korean-language content. "Squid Game" would be the obvious entry point, smashing numerous viewing records and breaking through to the mainstream, but the list of compelling K-dramas extends far beyond it.

Despite outperforming other recent Netflix dramas, 'The Waterfront' did not meet the platform’s internal benchmarks.
