A French woman who thought she was in a romantic relationship with Brad Pitt handed over $855,000 to scammers who used an AI version of the actor to dupe her.

Earlier this month, a French TV network aired a show called SEPT À HUIT, which revealed that the scammers used AI, false documents and images to con Anne, the designer, making her believe she was speaking to Pitt. She thought her money was going to help with his supposed cancer treatment.
