Mayor Muriel Bowser has declared a snow emergency for Washington, DC, which will remain in effect through at least the end of the day on Tuesday, January 7.

Due to the accumulation of snow and ice on city streets, the Mayor of Huntingburg has declared a snow emergency. According to a post on social media, the city is leaving a layer of snow on the roads to prevent expected ice to stick on the streets.

The declaration partially enacts the city's Emergency Operations Center, placing all public safety divisions on 24-hour schedules through Thursday, January 9.
