Current and former public sector workers in Massachusetts are hailing the passage of the Social Security Fairness Act.

U.S. Rep. Richard Neal said the bill President Joe Biden signed into law Sunday afternoon that increases Social Security payments for some public employees will affect more than 100,000 residents in Massachusetts.

Retired public workers will get check adjustments and retro pay under the recently signed Social Security Fairness Act.
