The New Orleans Pelicans are gratified by a franchise-record comeback victory that shows they're not giving in to the misfortune that defined the first two months of their season.

Dejounte Murray was finally able to let out some of the emotions he’s kept pent up inside him this season. He pounded his chest Wednesday night as he made his way back up the Smoothie King Center floor. He hopped around on one leg, right arm still hanging in the air after burying one of his four 3-pointers.

Murphy’s block of Spencer Dinwiddie’s layup attempt with four seconds left sealed the Pelicans' 119-116 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at the Smoothie King Center. The Mavericks embarrassed the Pelicans back in November, handing Willie Green’s team its worst loss of the season.

The Pelicans will start Dejounte Murray, CJ McCollum, Trey Murphy, Javonte Green and Yves Missi against Dallas on Wednesday. Green will get the starting nod in this game in place of Zion Williamson, who is sitting out the second leg of this back-to-back.
