Billionaire and Trump administration insider Elon Musk spoke virtually to a crowd of supporters of the far-right AfD party in Halle, Germany on Saturday, telling Germans to let go of “past guilt” in his strongest endorsement of the party yet.
There is too much focus on past guilt, and we need to move beyond that,” Musk told a rally for the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD).

Musk's surprising virtual appearance at an AfD rally encourages Germans to let go of past guilt and protect their identity.
"Children should not be guilty of the sins of their parents, let alone their great grandparents," Musk said, apparently referring to Germany's Nazi past.
Musk said that the AfD was the "best hope for Germany," and urged the crowd to be proud of their German identity.
The billionaire was received by cheers while addressing a rally for Alternative for Germany where he told attendees they shouldn’t be ashamed of their history.
Musk addressed approximately 4,500 AfD supporters gathered in Halle, eastern Germany, on Saturday, speaking alongside AfD leader and chancellor candidate Alice Weidel. In his remarks, Musk called the AfD “Germany’s best hope” in the upcoming general election on February 23.
