FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas women's basketball coach Mike Neighbors has resigned after eight seasons. The Greenwood, Arkansas, native compiled a 148-114 record with the Razorbacks, including six winning seasons. Arkansas went 10-22 this season, ending it with a loss to Georgia in the Southeastern Conference Tournament.

FAYETTEVILLE — After eight seasons, the Mike Neighbors era of Arkansas women’s basketball has come to an end. Neighbors, 55, resigned Tuesday as head coach of the Razorbacks, a position he held since April 2017. He finished with a 148-114 record during his tenure at Arkansas.

Neighbors led the Razorbacks to back-to-back appearances in 2021 and 2022. His 2019-20 team was a shoo-in for an at-large bid, but covid-19 canceled that season’s tournament for an Arkansas team that had a 24-8 record.

Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek has already spoken to Grand Canyon’s Molly Miller, sources confirmed to SB Nation. The Razorbacks are in the market for a women’s basketball coach after Mike Neighbors resigned.
