This isn’t the first time Georgia Department of Transportation has prepped roads for winter weather, but GDOT says their methods have improved since the last blast of winter weather Savannah saw, back in 2018.
As snow fall and icy conditions gripped much of Georgia, the Department of Transportation working overnight to treat roads in Atlanta, and Central, Southern and coastal parts of the state.
It’s not often that it snows in Southeast Georgia, with the last accumulation of snow in Ware County back in January 2018.
