Since becoming the Penguins general manager, Kyle Dubas has faced heavy criticism for moves that he has made. Pittsburgh sports fans are just babies that want to cry about everything. Dubas had one goal at the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline which was to acquire assets to get the rebuild underway and he did that.

The Winnipeg Jets have acquired veteran defenceman Luke Schenn from the Pittsburgh Penguins for two draft picks ahead of Friday's NHL trade deadline.

The Penguins also acquired a 2026 second-round draft pick and a 2027 fourth-round draft pick from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for defenseman Luke Schenn, who himself was recently traded to Pittsburgh in a deal with the Nashville Predators with forward Tommy Novak on Wednesday for forward Michael Bunting and a fourth-round pick in the 2026 draft.
