The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) lashed back at China yesterday following Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s recent statements that the Philippines’ actions in the South China Sea are mere theater in coordination with other countries.

France, Australia, Japan, Canada, New Zealand—following Washington’s lead—have each staged war games or concluded alliances with Manila targeting China.

China has hit out at Britain's Foreign Secretary for "sowing discord" with a visit to a contested site in the South China Sea.

Britain expressed concern over China's aggressive actions in the South China Sea. Foreign Minister David Lammy highlighted the importance of secure trade routes and emphasized the Philippines' challenges with Chinese activities.
