Battery maker Duracell's longstanding research-and-development hub in Bethel will be replaced by a new R&D hub in Atlanta.

Duracell, one of the world’s leading battery manufacturers, has announced plans to establish its new Global Headquarters for Research and Development at Science Square in Atlanta.

The company confirmed to FOX61 that it would be leaving its Bethel, Conn. location and plans to open its Atlanta headquarters in summer 2026.

Duracell announces its relocating its Research and Development headquarters from Bethel to Altanta, Georgia. The new R&D facility is scheduled to open in the summer of 2026. To be housed in the new state-of-the-art Science Square Labs building,

Duracell officials said the move will bring more than 100 jobs to Atlanta, but didn't say whether that included workers coming from Bethel.
