"It doesn't matter what level you are, you can sign up and you can play against players in your own age group, your own skill level," the Professional Pickleball Association Tour's Connor Pardoe said.
The merger is backed by a $75 million investment from backers that include private equity firm SC Holdings, D.C. Pickleball Team owner Al Tylis and PPA Tour owners Tom Dundon and the Pardoe Family.
The tour is coming to Tucson for the first time ever in early February. "Tucson was an easy choice," PPA CEO Connor Pardoe said. Pardoe said the PPA's tournaments are unlike any other pro event.
The tournament will be at Stacks Pickleball, Players will compete in men's and women's singles, gender doubles, and mixed doubles. Tickets can be purchased for $15.
