The Canadian star challenged the all-time mark in the women's 200-meter butterfly and continued her perfect string of races in Singapore.

American star Katie Ledecky won her seventh world title in the women’s 800-meter freestyle on Saturday, fending off the challenges of Canadian sensation Summer McIntosh and Australia’s Lani Pallister.

The 28-year-old American has dominated the distance for a decade and has already won gold in the 1,500 in Singapore. Ledecky, 28, has won nine Olympic gold medals — the most decorated female in history — and her first gold was in 2012 in the London Olympics in the 800.
