Chicago Cubs acquire RHP Michael Soroka and add bullpen help in Andrew Kittredge
They made their first maneuver to address that part of the roster Wednesday night by acquiring right-hander Michael Soroka from the Washington Nationals, and they obtained 35-year-old reliever Andrew Kittredge from the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday morning.

The Cubs are sending rookie-ball infielder Ronny Cruz, 18, and Triple-A outfielder Christian Franklin, 25, to Washington in the trade. Cruz and Franklin are the Cubs’ No. 13 and 14 prospects, according to MLB Pipeline.
The return for Soroka in the trade has yet to be revealed. Soroka was previously mentioned as a potential trade candidate.
