A prequel to popular anime “ My Hero Academia ” is coming exclusively to Sony’s Crunchyroll streaming service outside of Asia next month.

Vigilantes is set to expand one of anime's greatest shonen titles this April, and all eyes are on the prequel ahead of its start. With heroes like All Might and Eraserhead on hand, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes promises to answer some long-awaited questions for fans of the original series.

Vigilantes takes place years before the events of the main series, and follows a trio of underground heroes who illegally start fighting criminals to protect their town when the heroes don’t show up.

New episodes of the My Hero Academia prequel series will stream the same day it airs in Japan. Though the main My Hero Academia anime series is set to end later this year, its gritty prequel is about to make its streaming debut on Crunchyroll.

Vigilantes is almost here, and the character design for one of the series' most menacing heroes has just been revealed.

A prequel to My Hero Academia will be released on Crunchyroll outside Asia on April 7. The series, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, follows Koichi Haimawari as he becomes a vigilante. The anime is produced by Bones Film and directed by Kenichi Suzuki.

Vigilantes is the spin-off of the hugely popular series, My Hero Academia. The manga for this series actually ran for quite some time, between 2016 and 2022, which is 6 whole years and quite a good run for any series. The series concluded with 15 volumes in total, which gives animators a lot to work with.

Vigilantes will be here April 7, and Crunchyroll has revealed that it will be offering a simultaneous release. The anime series, which is based off a manga by Hideyuki Furuhashi, Betten Court, and Kohei Horikoshi,
