Fujioka, 18, and 17-year-old Samantha Chun were the subject of a multiagency four-day search after they didn’t return home Friday night following an evening on the North Shore. The ocean search for the two missing Mililani teenagers was suspended at sunset Tuesday.

The National Weather Service had a high surf warning posted since yesterday for north facing shores. Ke Iki also has a reputation for being dangerous, as it claimed two lives earlier this winter. “Ke Iki beach: It’s dangerous, it’s deadly, it’s not a good swimming beach. Go to a beach where we have lifeguards,” Tinneny said.
