That changed in 1933 during the Great Depression economic crisis, when Inauguration Day moved from 4 March 4 to 20 January - with the ratification of the 20th amendment to the US Constitution.

It is unclear if Mr. Trump, who has previously said he will spare the social media platform, will or can stop the ban.
