Real Madrid are aiming to complete the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool before the start of the Club World Cup.

Liverpool could yet receive a transfer fee from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold. The right-back confirmed on Monday his decision to leave the club this summer following the expiry of his contract, ending a two-decade-long association with his boyhood club, in which time he has won every competition available to him.

Real Madrid have approached Liverpool to ask how much they want to release Trent Alexander-Arnold early from his contract so he can play for them in the Club World Cup.
