The Boston Red Sox are thinking sweep on Sunday afternoon, as they get set for the last of a three-game division series with the New York Yankees at Fenway Park.

It’s difficult to point to one specific thing that went wrong in these two series, particularly when you recognize that although the outcome (series loss) was the same, the Yankees fell short in very different ways, facing the Red Sox at home and then in Fenway Park.

Sunday was the first time the Yankees were swept this season. They fell to 42-28 and sit in first place in the AL East by 3 1/2 games.
