The amount of land burned this year is on pace to be the most since 1994, as 100 blazes roared on Friday across the central Canadian province.

The day after the Wolf Fire started, on June 30, the Juniper Fire burned 756 acres southeast of Lake Matthews, also in Riverside County. The Forsyth Fire, burning near Pine Valley in Washington County, grew another 775 acres, according to a July 11 update from the U.S. Forest Service.
