Overview Presto is a distributed SQL query engine designed to query large data sets distributed over one or more heterogeneous data sources.

Every Presto installation must have a Presto coordinator alongside one or more Presto workers. For development or testing purposes, a single instance of Presto can be configured to perform both roles.
